Scholarships for registration fees (partial or full) are available for those who need it. We aim to ensure every child who wants to play football with us gets the chance. This is made possible through our community and business donors. Please apply below to find out more.

Volunteer work or fundraising is NOT required to receive a scholarship. However, some families prefer to help offset costs when possible. Would you be interested in participating in any of the following?(required)

I understand that scholarship funds can only be applied to the registration fee. If the sport uniform is not included in the registration price, I understand I will be responsible for coming up with that cost.

I also understand that when applying for a scholarship I am committing my athlete to at least 80% participation in practices and games. Scholarships awarded to athletes have an associated cost to the program with it and as such fills a space on the team for the roster year that would have otherwise been filled by another player. I understand that scholarship funds are limited and awarded based on available funding each year, overall need and at organizations discretion.

HOW OUR TEAMS ARE ORGANIZED |

In the West Sound Youth Football League (WSYFL) youth teams are arranged into grade categories as shown below. If we have enough registrations in any given year to form two teams, we will. This flexible team structure follows with the way most feeder programs in Washington state are. This structure allows for flexibility each year as registration numbers change. Required Registration Documents

Please bring any outstanding paperwork to Equipment Handout or your first practice. 

Required documents include:

  1. Photocopy of Birth Certificate (not the original)
  2. Current Sports Physical (must remain valid through the football season)
  3. Proof of Address (utility bill or other non-sensitive mailed document)
  4. PowerSchool Student Demographics Page showing athlete name, grade, and school (multiple screenshots are acceptable). Families who homeschool or attend private school may provide a second proof of address instead. PSD POWERSCHOOL PORTAL

Common Questions

  • What documents will be required to prove school grade? A screen shot of their Power School demographics page OR a photo of their last report card with their child’s full name and grade level.
  • Homeschooled? Kids will play based on the grade their age level is and must meet the age cut off requirements. Still requires two (2) documents providing proof of address.
  • What happens if a child is held back? We base players eligibility on grade first then age. We still require a birth certificate and if a child does not meet the age cut off per their division, they must play at the division based on their age instead of grade.
  • What if a child wants to play up a division? Play up requests are addressed by the individual team. This is not done at the WSYF league level.

TACKLE | SENIORS: 7TH – 8TH GRADE

Cannot be 15 before December 1st of the current year NO FRESHMAN ALLOWED

TACKLE | JUNIORS: 5TH – 6TH GRADE

Cannot be 13 before December 1st of the current year

TACKLE | SOPHOMORES: 3RD – 4TH GRADE

Cannot be 11 before December 1st of the current year

TACKLE | FRESHMAN: 1ST – 2ND GRADE

Cannot be 9 before December 1st of the current year

FLAG | K – 1ST GRADE

2026 FOOTBALL | UNIFORMS

FOR GRADES 1 – 8

Registration Cost: $200

Uniform Cost: Included

We will arrange gear hand out dates and communicate that information through email closer to the beginning of season practices starting the last week in July. So keep an eye out. Uniform must be returned upon the end of the season.
